Quilts tell stories about women, their families, and their communities.

American quilts have decorated our beds and kept us warm for two centuries.  Peggy explores the great variety of quilts from 1800 to 1976, with a special look at quilts made in Bergen County as well as three quilts owned by Mount Tabor Historical Society.

Peggy and a team from the Ridgewood and Upper Saddle River Historical Societies reviewed quilts in museum and private collections for the Bergen County Quilt and Coverlet Show held in 2021.  Some of their finds will be featured in the slide presentation.  The book produced from the Bergen County Quilt and Coverlet Show will be available for purchase.

Peggy is a member of several local historical societies and a member of the American Quilt Study Group, Brownstone Quilters, and the Genealogical Society of Bergen County.
